History of Groupon

Groupon was created in 2008 by Andrew Mason. Mason graduated from Northwestern with a degree in music. Groupon originally started in Chicago, Illinois as a way to explore new businesses in a less expensive way. Since then, it has now spread to 48 countries. Groupon, once only Chicago based, is now a worldwide company that helps consumers and businesses around the world.
